Process Refunds & Add Charges Directly in 88 Restaurants
Online Orders
Restaurant
Sometimes a customer needs a refund. Sometimes an order needs an adjustment. With the Charge & Refund tool in 88 Restaurants, you can handle both without leaving your account.
This article walks you through enabling the feature, issuing refunds, and adding charges.
Before You Begin
This feature requires a linked Stripe account. If you already use 88 Restaurants for online ordering, you're all set — your Stripe account is already connected. If you're not sure, or if you'd like to get set up, contact us and we'll help.
Step 1: Enable Refunds & Charges
Before you can issue a refund or add a charge, you'll need to turn on the feature.
Once the feature is enabled, you'll see the option to set a Transaction Password. This password is required every time you process a refund or add a charge — it's a simple security step to prevent accidental changes.
Note: If you don't set a transaction password, your regular account password will be used instead.
Step 2: Find the Order
From the main menu, go to Orders.
Find the order you'd like to adjust.
Look at the Actions column on the far right. You'll see two new icons — one for refunds, and one to add a charge.
