Auto Print Restaurant Receipts for Online Orders
Last Updated on April 21, 2026
About Cloud Printing
Restaurants need reliable, hands-off printing they can trust during the Friday rush. Receipt printing in 88 Restaurants is built for that. New orders print automatically. You don't need extra software on your POS system or even a tablet running your 88 Restaurants account to manage orders. All you need is a printer called the Star TSP143IVUE (available on Amazon for ~ $290). The printer itself can show just the TSP100 model number. But not all TSP100s work. You need the cloud icon next to the model number shown below to know it offers cloud printing.
What this actually means for your restaurant
- Online orders print automatically
- Fewer missed orders and mix-ups
- No extra software
- No complicated networking
Your printer connects to 88 Restaurants server and automatically prints a ticket the moment an order comes in — right in the kitchen where your team needs it most. No more troubleshooting during dinner service.
Setting it up (about 15 minutes)
Don't worry — you don't need to be "the tech person" to do this. Here's how it works:
1. Get the printer ready
Plug it in, load the paper, and have your Wi-Fi password handy. Star (the printer company) has a free app called the Star Quick Setup Utility for Apple / Android that walks you through getting the printer on your Wi-Fi. Download it, open it, follow the prompts to connect your printer to the Wi Fi. We recommend using a private network at least one that requires a passkey. Open public networks can get overloaded.
2. Grab your printer link from 88 Restaurants
Log in to 88 Restaurants and click through to Tools → Orders & Menus → Notifications. Sroll to the bottom of the list and find Set Up Receipt Printer. Add a check mark by Enable Receipt Printer and hit save. That will create the printer URL you need. Copy the web link (URL) that appears using the copy icon. This link is unique to your restaurant — it's how the printer knows which orders are yours.
3. Paste that link into the printer
Back in the Star app, find the Star CloudPRNT settings, turn it on, paste in the link you just copied in the field labeled Server URL and set the polling time to 5 seconds. Click save and restart the printer if it asks.
Once set up, you can confirm it's working by using the Send Test Print. Click it, and within a couple of seconds, a test ticket should come out of your printer. If it does, you're done. If it doesn't, you know right away and can fix it before orders start flowing.
Bottom line
If you run online ordering and want the kitchen to stay in sync without extra manual steps, Star TSP143IVUE + CloudPRNT in 88 Restaurants is a practical way to get paper in the right place, without turning your network setup into a weekend project.
